After a successful mending and embellishing class in June, Lauren Fowler is back with A Study in Cross Stitch, where she’ll be demonstrating the basics of cross stitch as well as how to create a pattern.
Lauren Fowler is an illustrator, graphic designer and thing maker. Honing her craft for the past 11 years, she’s self-taught herself a multitude of the needlework disciplines. Working with her hands has been one of the most wondrous gifts that she loves to share.
What to expect
In this workshop, we’ll learn how to create our own pattern as well as the basics of cross stitch. Each student will receive a kit including: Graph paper, a pencil, a 5-inch wooden embroidery hoop, Aida canvas in black or white, 2 embroidery cotton floss and a tapestry needle. All you need to bring is yourself!
